Upon request of foreign colleagues, the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation took a decision to extradite Mr. Akhmadzhon Bakiev for criminal prosecution.
He is accused of stealing in 2017 in the Republic of Kazakhstan monetary funds of nationals on especially large scale through deceit and breach of trust.
The accused fled from the preliminary investigation bodies and was declared wanted. Later, he was detained on the territory of the Russian Federation.
Foreign colleagues submitted a request for extradition of the accused to the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation, which was satisfied.
Special convoy officers the will escort Mr. Akhmadzhon Bakiev to the Republic of Kazakhstan.
