Mr. Yury Chayka, Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation, met Mr. Guy de Vel, Director General of Legal Affairs of the Council of Europe (Retired). Mr. Alexander Gutsan, Deputy Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation, Ms. Oksana Kapinus, Rector of the Academy of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation, and Mr. Saak Karapetyan, Chief of the General Department of International Legal Cooperation, participated in this event as well.
During the meeting Mr. Guy de Vel noted that his cooperation with the Academy of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation had lasted since 2008, and within this period of time he had visited the branches of the Academy located in Saint Petersburg and Irkutsk. Mr. Guy de Vel expressed his gratitude to the Prosecutor General and the Rector of the Academy for giving him the opportunity to lecture to Russian prosecution service officials.
Mr. Yury Chayka highly evaluated the advantages of such lectures for acting prosecution service officials.
In the end, Ms. Oksana Kapinus, Rector of the Academy, and Mr. Guy de Vel made an arrangement to coordinate a visit for the next year.
