Today, on 27th of March, 2015 upon request of the Russian Federation Prosecutor’s General Office the competent authorities of the Republic of France will extradite the Citizen of Moldova, Alexander Lavrik, to Russia.
The investigative authorities charge him with a crime under Article 131 (1) (rape) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
The criminal case against Lavrik is handled by the Yasnogorsk inter-regional investigative division of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Tula Region.
According to investigation in July, 2013 at night in the cultivated forest of Velegozh village of the Zaoksky District of Tula Region he raped an unknown woman.
Since Lavrik fled from criminal prosecution in August, 2013 he was put on Federal Wanted List, and in September, 2013 on an International Wanted List.
Once he was found in the territory of France, the Prosecutor’s General Office of the Russian Federation sent to the Ministry of Justice of France a request of his extradition in June, 2014 which was granted in March, 2015.
Accompanied by special escort Alexander Lavrik will be delivered from Paris to Moscow.

About the extradition from France to Russia of the Citizen of Moldova Alexander Lavrik charged with rape
