The Cooperation Program between the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation and the Public Attorney's Office of the Republic of Serbia for 2015 - 2016 was signed in Irkutsk

Today, on August 26, 2014, on the sidelines of the Baikal International Conference of Prosecutors the Deputy Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Aleksandr Zvyagintsev met with the Deputy Public Attorney of the Republic of Serbia Djordje Ostojic.

When welcoming the guests, Aleksandr Zvyagintsev said that ties of long and cordial friendship united Russia and Serbia. These countries interacted extensively in the framework of previous agreements including the exchange of specific information on serious criminal offenses.

During the meeting, the departments’ heads signed the Cooperation Program for 2015 - 2016.

The document provides a series of round tables and seminars to share information on major activities of the bodies and institutions, as well as strategic priorities of the prosecutors’ work.

Thus, the program for 2015 provides conducting of a round table dedicated to the discussion of topical issues of cooperation in the field of extradition and legal assistance in criminal matters. In 2016, a round table will be held on the issues of prosecutorial supervision over the implementation of laws aimed at preventing inter-ethnic conflicts and eliminating religious controversies, which pave the way for extremism.
