Today, June 10, 2014, a Roundtable meeting on “Role and terms of reference of the Prosecutorial Office of the Russian Federation and the Supreme Public Prosecutor' s Office of the Czech Republic beyond the criminal law realm” was held at the Office of the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation.
The aim of the event is to follow up the 2013-2015 Cooperation Programme between the Office of the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation and the Supreme Public Prosecutor' s Office of the Czech Republic, signed by Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Yury Chaika in Prague (Czech Republic) in October, 2013.
The Czech Republic delegation is headed by the Deputy to the Supreme Public Prosecutor of the Czech Republic Pavel Pukovec. The Russian party was represented by the officials of Federal Law Enforcement Superintendancy, Prosecutors Involvement in Arbitration and Civil Proceedings Office and the Academy of the Office of the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Scientific Research Institute.
Matters of activities of prosecutorial authorities aimed to protect the public rights and freedoms, organization of prosecutorial monitoring of economy in the Russian Federation, protection of entrepreneurial rights and specific nature of prosecutorial monitoring of compliance with the law on activities of law enforcement agencies of the Russian Federation beyond the criminal law realm, caused mutual interest.
The Czech party representatives informed of the Prosecutorial Office participation in bankruptcy proceedings and of its authority beyond criminal law realm with respect to executive power. \
Previously, within the framework of the above-mentioned Programme, a Roundtable meeting on “Structure and functions of the Office of the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation and the Supreme Public Prosecutor' s Office of the Czech Republic. Authorities of prosecutors in the Russian Federation and public prosecutors of Czech Republic” was held in Brno (Czech Republic) in December, 2013.
