The Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation sent a request for extradition of Russian citizen Gleb Grozovsky to the competent authorities of the State of Israel

Due to locating of Gleb Grozovsky, who is on an international wanted list, within the territory of the State of Israel, the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation sent to the Ministry of Justice of the State of Israel a request for his extradition for prosecution according to Article 132, paragraph 4 (violent sexual actions, i.e. other sexual actions committed against a person who obviously has not attained 14 years of age, through the abuse of a person’s state of helplessness) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. 

Office for the investigation of particularly important cases of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for Saint Petersburg is competent for the criminal case against Grozovsky. 

According to investigation version, in summer 2011 at the territory of orthodox children's camp, which was located on the island of Konevets of the Priozersky District, Leningrad Oblast, Grozovsky, being a cleric of Ascension (St. Sophia) Cathedral at Tsarskoye Selo of religious organization "Metropolia of Saint Petersburg" of the Russian Orthodox Church (the Moscow Patriarchate), committed violent sexual actions against several persons, who have not attained 14 years of age. 

The similar actions were committed by Grozovsky in June 2013 within the territory of the Hellenic Republic at the camp of Orthodox Children’s and Youth Club "Philadelphia", where he was a rector of Church of St. John the Warrior Martyr of religious organization "Gatchina Eparchy" of the Russian Orthodox Church (the Moscow Patriarchate). 

As Grozovsky had fled from prosecution, in October 2013 he was put on international wanted list.
