At the request of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation Ukraine extradited Russian citizen, accused of participation in an armed gang

There was satisfied the request of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation to the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine concerning extradition of citizen of the Russian Federation Mukhammed Migaev for criminal prosecution for committed crimes, referred to in article 208, paragraph 2 (participation in an armed formation that is not provided for by a federal law), article 222, paragraph 3 (illegal acquisition, storage, bearing and sale of firearms and ammunition for it), article 209, paragraph 2 (participation in a stable armed group (band) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. 

Migaev, being a member of the band, participated in attacks against citizens of Roshni-chu of Urus-Martanovsky District of the Chechen Republic. 

The criminal case against Migaev is pending by the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation. 

As Migaev had fled from investigation bodies, in 2008 he was put on an international wanted list. 

In December 2013 Migaev was detained in Odessa, Ukraine. 

In January 2014 the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation sent a request for extradition of Migaev to Russia for his prosecution to the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine, this request was satisfied in March 2014. 

Thus far, Migaev has been extradited to law enforcement agencies of Russia.
