Round table on "Relevant issues of ensuring the security of air, railway and water transport operation" took place at the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation under the guidance of Deputy Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Nikolay Vinnichenko and with the participation of Chief Transport Prosecutor of the Republic of Kazakhstan Ibray Tleugaleev.
Participants of this round table became representatives of Russian and Kazakhstan transport prosecutor's offices, the State Secretary - Deputy Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Sergey Aristov, Deputy-Minister of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation Viktor Kiryanov, heads of federal bodies of executive power of the Russian Federation in the field of transportation, representatives of the Interstate Aviation Committee and JSC "Russian Railways".
Participants of the round table discussed problematic issues of ensuring transportation security and ways to resolve them.
Heads of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation and the General Transport Prosecutor’s office of the Republic of Kazakhstan in their speeches stated organizational and legal problems of prosecutorial oversight over compliance with the legislation in the field of ensuring transportation security.
Participants of the forum also addressed issues of prevention of law violations in the field of ensuring transportation security and possible ways of reducing accidents.
Following the meeting results, there was taken decision on continuation of cooperation between prosecutor's offices of Russia and Kazakhstan, including extensive involvement of specialists of the corresponding federal bodies of executive power in the field of transportation and the Interstate Aviation Committee.
