Text

Upon demand of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation, Russian citizen Aslanbek Mirzoyev has been extradited from the Republic of Moldova. He is charged of committing the crimes, stipulated in part 4 Art. 33, 317 (incitement to Encroachment on the Life of an Officer of a Law-enforcement Agency), part 3 Art. 33, part 1 Art. 30, p. «b», part 2, Art. 105 (arrangement of preparation for commission of murder of a person in connection with the official activity by this person), part 2 Art. 22, (Illegal Acquisition, Transfer, Sale, Storage, Transportation, or Bearing of Firearms, Its Basic Parts, Ammunition, Explosives, and Explosive Devices, committed by a group of persons in a preliminary conspiracy) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

According to the investigators, Mirzoyev intended to commit the murder of chief personnel of law enforcement and judicial authorities, on the territory of one of republics of North-Caucasian region, in connection with the official activity by this person. It was planned to commit the crimes by a deliberately oriented group of persons under his leadership through blasting of improvised explosive devices.

For the purpose of a criminal objective Mirzoyev’s crime accomplices on regular basis aggregated information on time and routes of their daily travel, among such through personal observation.

Nevertheless, the deeds were not brought to conclusion due to the grounds beyond the control of accomplices of a criminal group. After prevention of imminent crimes, Mirzoyev hid away from law enforcement authorities within the territory of foreign states.

While staying beyond the borders of Russian Federation, by means of incitement and talks through electronic communication with a set of persons, residing within the territory of North-Caucasian region, he convinced the accomplices in necessity of commission of infringement on life of officials of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.

Under the effect of Mirzoyev’s persuasion, his accomplices committed series of heavy and especially grave crimes, including the murder of official of MIA RF.

In May, 2013, upon the arrest of Mirzoyev in the Republic of Moldova, the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation directed an inquiry to republican relevant authorities about his extradition to Russia for criminal prosecution, which was satisfied.

Yesterday Mirzoyev was extradited to Russia, accompanied by the officers of Federal Penitentiary Service and Russian Interpol's National Central Bureau.
