This day, on the 26th of September, 2013, at the Congress Hall of the State Residence number 1 in the city of Bishkek (Kyrgyz Republic) the Session of Coordination Board of General Prosecutors, representing member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States was held.
The session was attended by Deputy Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Alexander Zvyagintsev, Prosecutor General of the Kyrgyz Republic Aida Salyanova, Prosecutor General of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askhat Daulbayev, Prosecutor General of the Republic of Tajikistan Sherkhon Salimzoda, Prosecutor General of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Konyuk, as well as the delegations, represented by leading officials of the Prosecutor General's Offices of Russia, Ukraine, Armenian Republic, Republic of Azerbaijan, Republic of Moldova, the representatives of the CIS Executive Committee, Interparliamentary Assembly of the CIS Member Nations and the Secretariat of Coordination Board of General Prosecutors of the CIS Member Nations.
Deputy Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Alexander Zvyagintsev expressed gratitude to the hosting country for warm and friendly welcome and mentioned that in the course of the session there had been scheduled the hearing of reports in concern of fulfillment of cooperation programs of CIS Member Nations for 2011-2013 on countering terrorism and extremism, drug trafficking, trafficking of psychotropic substances and their derivatives, countermeasures against human trafficking and illegal migration, as well on fulfillment of transnational program of joint measures of crime fighting.
The Russian delegation shared its working experience in the sphere of monitoring over legitimacy of permitting the crime reports, and paid peculiar attention to the work, related to supervision over the execution of statutory requirements by receipt, enrollment and admission of crime reports.
In the course of activities the participators discussed the matters of supervision over the execution of ecological legislation, implementation of innovative technologies by drawing up the legal statistics and specific lists, cooperation of the law enforcement bodies and the civil society for fighting corruption, restructuring of investigation agencies and perfection of prosecutorian supervision.
Besides the participators discussed strengthening of cooperation in fighting against corruption, supervisory practices in protection of civil rights, in particular of citizens staying abroad, within the territory of the CIS Member Nations as well as implementation of international treaties, concluded by the CIS Member Nations.
Besides, the preparation of a project concering bilateral cooperation program between the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation and the Prosecutor General's Office of the Kyrgyz Republic was discussed. Therewith was observed that a set of interdepartmental interaction acts is being successfully implemented: in particular, 25 officials of the Prosecutor General's Offices of the Kyrgyz Republic had improved their skills at the Academy of the Prosecutor General's Offices of the Russian Federation.
The session participants also examined other topical issues and adopted series of decisions, directed to development of cooperation, exchanged the experience of prosecutorial activities in order to practically implement them in third countries.
Deputy Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Alexander Zvyagintsev, resuming the event, expressed his gratitude to the Prosecutor General's Office of the Kyrgyz Republic for perfect organization of the meeting, and all participants for engaged and fruitful work.
He expressed confidence that members of the Coordination Board of General Prosecutors in interaction with the Executive Committee and Interparliamentary Assembly of the CIS Member Nations shall keep on expanding the efforts oriented on search of new forms and methods of their activities in order to secure legality in member states of the Commonwealth.
By resolution of the Coordination Board of General Prosecutors, representing member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States, Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Yuri Chayka was again elected for the position of a Chairman.
Next session of the Coordination Board of General Prosecutors, representing member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States, shall be held in Dushanbe, Republic of Tajikistan in the year 2014.
