- The Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation
Today, on the 25th of September, 2013, in the city of Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic, a delegation of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation arrived in order to participate in the sessions of the Coordination Board of General Prosecutors, representing member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States and General Prosecutors from member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
Within the arrangement of bilateral meetings between the participants of scheduled events, the meeting of the Head of Russian delegation - Deputy Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Alexander Zvyagintsev - and Prosecutor General of the Kyrgyz Republic Aida Salyanova took place.
In the course of the meeting the Deputy Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation draw attention to successful cooperation between Prosecution authorities of both countries in regard of anti-terrorism activities, fighting extremism, illegal drug trafficking, trafficking of psychotropic substances and derivatives, human trafficking and illegal migration.
The Parties noted with satisfaction, that the intergovernmental program of joint efforts for fighting the criminality is carried out successfully, and the Prosecutor General's Offices of the Russian Federation and the Kyrgyz Republic make strong contribution to achievement of its prior tasks.
In furtherance of fundamental positions, stipulated in this program, the Parties came to conclusion of the necessity to explore the issue of signing of a bilateral cooperation program and discussed its particular provisions.
The Parties also mentioned that certain aspects of bilateral cooperation are already successfully implemented: in particular, some officials of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Kyrgyz Republic study at the Academy of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation.
Prosecutor General of the Kyrgyz Republic Aida Salyanova highly appreciated the role of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation in securing of proper cooperation, regarding issues of international judicial cooperation, and expressed hope on further fruitful cooperation hereof.
In conclusion of the meeting, Deputy Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Alexander Zvyagintsev thanked Aida Salyanova for warm welcome and the opportunity to discuss topical issues of international judicial cooperation on a higher level.
