The Department of Communication with Mass Media of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation starts accepting applications for coverage of the 18th IAP Annual Conference and General Meeting.
IAP is an international organization uniting more than 250 000 prosecutors from more than 150 countries.
More than 700 participants of the Conference, including high-ranking representatives of a number of authoritative international organizations such as UNO, Council of Europe, CIS, and European Union, will discuss its main topic – “The Prosecutor and the Rule of Law”.
Upon suggestion of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation, topical issues of the activity of prosecutors not only in crime combating, but also those outside criminal law will be considered for the first time during the conference.
The Conference will be hold in the World Trade Centre (Krasnopresnenskaya nab. Str. 12) from 8 to 12 September 2013.
Applications for accreditation could be forwarded by Russian mass media and foreign journalists.
For accreditation of foreign ass media representatives they should be accredited by MID Russia (Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia). Accommodation and travel expenses are covered by the representatives on their own.
Termination of accreditation date – 3.00 p.m. (Moscow time) 2 September 2013.
Mass media representatives intending to attend Opening (9 September 2013) and Closing (12 September 2013) Ceremonies of IAP Conference should submit an application for accreditation through the Conference website www.iap2013.ru/smi.
Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the Conference will be broadcasted in the Conference press centre. Mass media representatives are not allowed to attend Conference sessions, however, through the host they could invite speakers and other participants of the Conference for interviews in the press centre.
NB: Applications, received after 3.00 p.m. (Moscow time) 2 September 2013., will not be examined!
Additional information
Sending of an application does not mean that accreditation will be obtained automatically. Each application will be examined independently. Accreditation could be refused.
On 3 September List of accredited journalists and information on operation of mass media representatives will be released on the website.
