Today the competent authorities of the Dominican Republic are deporting to Russia a citizen of the Russian Federation Darya Vinogradova. By the Russian law enforcement bodies she is accused of committing a crime foreseen by part 4 of article 188 (smuggling of narcotic substances committed by an organized group) of the Criminal code of the Russian Federation (as amended in the Federal law № 162-FZ dated 08.12.2003).
The criminal case against Vinogradova is in the execution stage of the investigative department of FBSCN (Federal Board of Service on Control of Narcotraffic) in the city of Moscow.
By the investigation it was established that Vinogradova in a membership of an organized criminal group, living on the territory of the Dominican Republic acquired a narcotic substance - cocaine in particularly huge amount, then transferred it to shipment by narcotics couriers to the Russian Federation for subsequent marketing.
In July 2009 Vinogradova was announced in the Federal search and in September 2010 she was placed into the international wanted list.
As a result of interaction of the General Prosecutor's office of the Russian Federation with the competent authorities of the Dominican Republic, in September 2012 Darya Vinogradova was detained on the territory of this country.
Despite the absence of a bilateral extradition agreement between the Russian Federation and the Dominican Republic as well as due to coordinated work of the General Prosecutor's office of the Russian Federation and NCB of Interpol of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, today Daria Vinogradova is deported from the territory of the Dominican Republic to Russia with the purpose of subsequent conveyance to the place of preliminary investigation.
