Today, upon the request of the General Prosecutor's office of the Russian Federation the competent authorities of the Republic of France are extraditing to Russia a citizen of the Russian Federation Gnel Piloyan. By the investigation authorities he is accused of committing of a crime foreseen by part 1 of article 105 (intentional infliction of death to other person) of the Criminal code of the Russian Federation.
The criminal case against Piloyan is in the execution stage of Lenin interdistrict investigatory department for the city of Magnitogorsk of the investigative board of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in Chelyabinsk region.
It is established that in December 2007 Piloyan, being in a condition of alcoholic intoxication, in the course of a quarrel which arose on the basis of personal hostile relations with a citizen, stroke death causing blows with a knife to the chest of the latter.
In connection with the fact that Pilyan disappeared from the bodies of preliminary investigation, in September 2009 he was placed into the international wanted list and in December 2009 he was detained on the territory of the Republic of France.
Then the General Prosecutor's office of the Russian Federation forwarded to the competent authorities of the Republic of France extradition request on Gnel Piloyan for bringing him to the criminal responsibility.
In March 2011 by the competent authorities of France it was accepted a decision on satisfaction of the application for extradition of Piloyan.
Today, accompanied by the employees of the Russian Bureau of Interpol, Piloyan is extradited to Russia.
