It was held a meeting of the General Prosecutor of the Russian Federation Yury Chayka with the General State Prosecutor of the Republic of Montenegro Ranka Carapic

Today in the General Prosecutor's office of Russia it was held a meeting of the General Prosecutor of the Russian Federation Yury Chayka with the General State Prosecutor of the Republic of Montenegro Ranka Carapic.

 

The meeting was also attended by the officers of the General Prosecutor’s office of Russia, the General State Prosecutor’s office of Montenegro as well as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Montenegro to the Russian Federation Slobodan Backovic.

 

In his speech of welcome, Yury Chayka thanked Ranka Carapic for another opportunity to exchange the opinions highly appreciated the warm welcome and hospitality extended to the delegation of the General Prosecutor's office of the Russian Federation in the course of his visit to Montenegro in February of this year. Yury Chayka emphasized "With deep satisfaction I can state that the signed, during the visit, Program of cooperation between the General Prosecutor's office of the Russian Federation and the state Prosecutor's office of Montenegro for the years of 2010 - 2011 is successfully realized".

 

To the present date there have been held three meetings of the Prosecutor's offices of Russia and Montenegro which were devoted to the discussion of actual issues of activities of Prosecutor's offices, their interaction with the bodies of the judicial power as well as the protection of the rights of citizens.

 

By the end of this year it is planned to hold a Russian-Montenegrin meeting with the purpose of getting acquainted with the preparation and documentation provision in the Prosecutor's offices of Russia and Montenegro, meetings of the Board, coordination and operational meetings as well as with the procedures for control over execution of adopted decisions.

 

The General Prosecutor of the Russian Federation stressed the importance of such events which give the opportunity for an exchange of experiences on the decision of such kinds of problems with which the prosecutors encounter every day, that undoubtedly positively impact on the effectiveness of our work in the field of protection of citizens' rights, the fight against criminality and strengthening of the legislation in our countries.

 

In her turn, Ranka Carapic thanked Yury Chayka for the warm reception which allows carrying on the interdepartmental constructive dialogue and serves as the basis for the strengthening of mutual understanding in the field of protection of citizens' rights and the fight against criminality. She stressed that the experiences which shared by the employees of the Prosecutor's office of Russia with the colleagues from Montenegro are invaluable for the country in the whole.

In the course of the meeting the parties discussed the issues of significance for two countries including on the issues of the legalization of the means obtained by a criminal way.

 

"There are no borders for crime and it can be resisted only in common", - said in conclusion Yury Chayka. The General Prosecutor of the Russian Federation confirmed the strong targeting towards all-round deepening and development of Russian-Montenegrin relations
