Upon request of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation, the competent authorities of the Republic of Lithuania have extradited today Abbos Zulfikorov, a native of Uzbekistan.
The investigative authorities charged Abbos Zulfikorov with a crime defined by Article 105, part 1 (murder) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. It was established that in December 2008, A.Zulfikorov killed Mr. Petrov, a resident of Kaliningrad, at whose apartment A.Zulfikorov was performing repair works, and then escaped from the crime scene. The following day, he was detained by the Lithuanian border patrol.
The criminal case against A.Zulfikorov is under investigation by the Investigative Division for the Kaliningrad Region of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee under the Public Prosecution Service of the Russian Federation for the Kaliningrad Region.
In February 2009, upon request of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation he was put on international wanted list. In March 2009, the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation sent a request for his extradition to the competent authorities of the Republic of Lithuania. In April 2009, the Vilnius District Court made a decision to extradite Abbos Zulfikorov.
Today, in concurrence with the Lithuanian authorities at the border checkpoint “Chernyshevskoye-Kibartai”, A.Zulfikorov has been surrendered to the officers of the Department of the Federal Penitentiary Service for the Kaliningrad Region.

Extradition of Abbos Zulfikorov, a Native of Uzbekistan, Charged with Murder, from Lithuania to Russia
