The General Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation has completed the investigation of the criminal case of Leonid Nevzlin, a former shareholder of 'NK Yukos LTD '. He is accused of organizing the assassination of a number of leaders of business organizations and officials. Nevzlin’s actions are qualified by 33 c. 'a', 'b', 'e', 'f',” h' 2p of 105c and 3c. of 33p 'b', 'e', 'f', 'h' h. 2c 105 of the Russian Criminal Code.
According to the investigation version, for the period 1998-2002 the members of the above organized group by Nevzlin’s orders assassinated Director of LLP 'TF Phoenix' Korneeva Valentina, Head of administration of the city of Nefteyugansk of Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area Vladimir Petukhov (his security guard Viacheslav Kokoshkin was wounded), and Nikolai Fedotov, the driver of Managing Director of 'EastPetroleum Handelsgez m.b.H 'Evgeniy Rybin.
The same group had committed murder attempts on Head of the Department of Public Relations of Moscow Mayor's Office Olga Kostina, Administrator of Rosprom CJSC Victor Kolesov, Managing Director of 'EastPetroleum Handelsgez m.b.H 'Evgeniy Rybin and his guards Alexei Ivanov and Evgeniy Filippov.
Nevzlin’s previously established accomplices - Pichugin and a number of others – are already convicted by Moscow City Court and sentenced to various terms of imprisonment. In 2004, federal and international search of Nevzlin was announced, requests for his extradition being repeatedly sent to foreign states.
By this moment, the criminal case against Nevzlin with the approved indictment has been sent to the court for material consideration.
