In Sochi (Krasnodar Region) General Prosecutor's Office of Russian Federation Committee began its work.
One of the main tasks of the state Commission will be examining the legality of the activities of the local government bodies, monitoring enforcement, as well as verification of performance of existing legislation during preparation for the XXII winter Olympic Games and XI Paraolimpic winter games in 2014. Particular attention of the committee members will be paid to the observance by officials at all levels of land, environment, town planning and budget legislation.
General Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation will examine activities of local governments, control authorities and law enforcement bodies.
The results will form the basis of activities of the committee shaping the work plans of the prosecution bodies to oversee the execution of the Law during preparation for the Olympic Games, to develop a strategy for law enforcement actions at this stage and coordinate their activities.
