An expert meeting of representatives of the Prosecutor General's Offices of Russia and Armenia was held

The first event of the eighth interdepartmental cooperation program between the Prosecutor General's Offices of Russia and Armenia for 2025-2026 took form of an expert-level meeting held today in Moscow, dedicated to environmental protection issues, including the handling of production and consumption waste.

Representatives of the Prosecutor General's Office of Russia noted the special role of prosecutors in the field of environmental protection and the importance of developing and implementing joint strategies within the framework of international cooperation to ensure environmental well-being.

Russian and Armenian experts discussed aspects of supervisory activities in the field of environmental management, including prospects for digitalization in the field of environmental safety, and exchanged views on the advisability of reforming legislation related to the regulation of production and consumption waste management.                                                                          

At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed their mutual intention to actively develop cooperation between the prosecutor's offices on the most pressing issues of law enforcement.
