As previously reported, at the request of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation, the Swiss authorities seized the property and a vehicle personally owned by Jeanne Bulakh, an accomplice of Alexey Kuznetsov.

The cooperation with the competent authorities of foreign states in investigating Mr. Kuznetsov’s criminal activity is continuing.

Thus, a few days ago, the talks by video-conferencing were held between the representatives of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation and their counterparts from the Public Financial Prosecutor’s Office of France.

The French prosecutors are conducting investigation against Mr. Kuznetsov and Mrs. Bulakh into the laundering in France of the proceeds obtained in Russia by criminal means.

The parties discussed the progress, results and perspectives of the investigation of criminal cases against Mr. Kuznetsov, Mrs. Bulakh and their accomplices in Russia and France, and identified concrete actions for cooperation aimed at returning the proceeds of crime to Russia.

The French counterparts assured the representatives of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation that the criminal investigation held in France is not an obstacle to Mr. Kuznetsov’s extradition to Russia.

The representatives of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation had been also invited for the discussion.
