Aleksandr Gutsan thanked Luong Cuong for the opportunity to meet in person and noted that, despite the challenging geopolitical conditions, relations between the two countries are developing in a constructive and friendly manner.
"On May 10 of this year, Russian President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin and General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam To Lam signed a joint declaration in Moscow on the main directions of Russian-Vietnamese relations and a comprehensive strategic partnership at a new stage," the Russian Prosecutor General emphasized. "Cooperation between the competent authorities of Russia and Vietnam is based on the goals and objectives reflected in this document."
The head of the Russian supervisory agency expressed special gratitude to the leadership of Vietnam for organizing the signing ceremony of the Comprehensive UN Convention against Cybercrime initiated by the Prosecutor General's Office of Russia.
"This is the world's first global treaty directly aimed at improving the effectiveness of preventing and combating such crimes," said Aleksandr Gutsan. "It will create a network of national contact centers for the prompt exchange of relevant information around the clock."
The Russian Prosecutor General noted that the Convention is based on the principles of equality of all states and non-interference in their internal affairs, which is fully consistent with the foreign policies of the two countries.
Aleksandr Gutsan informed Luong Cuong that at the upcoming meeting he would discuss areas of further cooperation with the Prosecutor General of Vietnam, including in the area of professional training.
"I am convinced that cooperation between the supervisory agencies of Vietnam and Russia will expand and fully contribute to strengthening good-neighborly relations between the two countries," stated the Russian Prosecutor General.
In conclusion, Aleksandr Gutsan wished Luong Cuong and all the Vietnamese people peace, well-being and prosperity.
