A multilateral expert-level meeting on countering terrorist and extremist threats was held at the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation.
The event was held in a hybrid format.
The meeting was attended in person by the personnel of the General Department of International Legal Cooperation and the Department for Supervision over the Implementation of Laws on Federal Security, Interethnic Relations, Countering Extremism and Terrorism of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation, the University of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation, as well as representatives of the competent authorities of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Kingdom of Cambodia, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Personnel of the competent authorities of the Republic of India, the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Mongolia, the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan joined the event via videoconference.
The parties exchanged current information on the problems in the fight against terrorist and extremist threats and ways to solve them, shared practical experience in countering manifestations of terrorism and extremism at the national level and talked about innovations in the legislation of the countries participating in the event against these challenges.
Following the meeting, the parties concluded that it is necessary to adhere to a coordinated approach of all interested states in order to fight successfully with the mentioned threats.
