Mr. Pyotr Gorodov, Deputy Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation, met with Mr. Zhang Zhijie, Deputy Prosecutor-General of the Supreme People's Procuratorate of the People's Republic of China in Moscow.
During the meeting, representatives of the two agencies discussed topical issues of strengthening bilateral relations in the field of international legal cooperation and combating cross-border crime.
In order to coordinate the positions of the two agencies, the prospects for cooperation within the framework of BRICS and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization were discussed.
Certain agreements were reached on a number of issues related to the participation of the Russian delegation in the upcoming 21st meeting of the Prosecutors General of the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Xian in the fall of 2023, as well as the organization of advanced training for prosecutors of the two countries.
In addition, Zhang Zhijie, Deputy Prosecutor-General of the Supreme People’s Procuratorate of the People’s Republic of China, is expected to make a presentation on June 16, 2023, at the session of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum on the theme “Business under Protection: Further Efforts to Build a Favourable Business Climate”. The topic of his presentation is “To strengthen and deepen Chinese-Russian cooperation in the field of criminal justice. To suppress crimes in the economic sphere on the basis of the law. To protect effectively the legitimate rights and interests of entrepreneurs”.

The Deputy Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation met with the Deputy Prosecutor-General of the Supreme People's Procuratorate of the People's Republic of China
