A Russian-Vietnamese seminar was held in the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation on the issues of digitalization of prosecutorial activities and on combating crimes in the IT field, as well as manifestations of extremism and terrorism.

The event became possible thanks to the agreements between Mr. Igor KRASNOV, Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation, and Mr. Le Minh Tri, Prosecutor General of the Supreme People’s Procuracy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, reached during the visit of the head of the Russian supervisory agency to Hanoi in October 2022.

For the first time in the past few years, a meeting with Vietnamese colleagues took place in person in Moscow; it gave a new impetus to interaction and strengthening friendship between the two agencies.

The topics chosen for discussion are of mutual interest and priority areas for the work of the Vietnamese partners, since the task of finding the most effective ways to combat crimes in the field of ICT is becoming more and more relevant every year and global in nature.

Within the framework of the event, Russian and Vietnamese partners shared their best practices in the digitalization of the activities of the prosecution services.

Representatives of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation also spoke about the practice of countering the spread of extremist and terrorist content on the Internet, having discussed with colleagues the Vietnamese experience in this area.

Following the results of the seminar, a mechanism was developed to increase the efficiency of the work of the prosecutorial activities in this area, and agreements were reached on further cooperation.
