Today on March 23, 2015 as a part of working visit of the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Cuba Mr. Dario Delgado Cura, a meeting was held with Cuban colleagues regarding improvement of teaching and methodological support of prosecutors’ advanced training.
From the Russian side this working meeting was attended by the Rector of the Academy of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation Ms. O.S. Kapinus, Vice-Rector of the Academy Mr. V.V. Kazakov, Head of the Department of International Law of the General Department of International Legal Cooperation of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation Mr. Yu.V. Ivanov, Reviewer of the Protocol Department of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation Mr. I.I. Ivanov, Deputy Director of the Research Institute of the Academy Mr. R.V. Zhubrin, Chair of the Department of Prosecutorial Supervision over Implementation of Laws in the Operational and Searching Activity and Participation of Public Prosecutors in Criminal Proceedings of the Academy Mr. A.G. Khaliulin, a Senior Scientific Associate of the Academy Ms. M.P. Sukhomlinova.
From the Cuban side the meeting was attended by the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Cuba Mr. Dario Delgado Cura, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba in the Russian Federation Mr. Emilio Lozada Garcia, Head of Anti-Corruption and Anti-Illegal Actions Department of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Cuba Mr. Pedro Pablo Cutino Dieguez, Head of the Department of International Relations and Cooperation of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Cuba Ms. Patricia Maria Rizo Cabrera, Prosecutor – Head of General Department of Control of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Cuba Ms. Yamila Pena Ojeda, Deputy Head of Informatics and Communications Department of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Cuba Mr. Javier Alfonso Valdes, Counsellor of the Embassy of the Republic of Cuba in the Russian Federation Mr. Alejandro Simancas Marin.
Within the meeting the issues of further cooperation between the Academy of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation and the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Cuba in the field of training of prosecutors of the Republic of Cuba on the basis of Retraining and Advanced Training Faculty of the Academy were discussed.
Participants of the meeting summarized results of previous work in this field, pointed out the need to improve training programs, noted importance of sharing information on current legislation of two countries.
A special focus was placed upon the format of teaching of Cuban colleagues at the Academy and upon the advisability to increase the number of practical trainings and seminars, including those held at Public Prosecutor's Offices of the Russian Federation, in order to study practice of the Russian public prosecutors.
The Cuban side expressed deep gratitude to the administration of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation and the Academy for the excellent organization and conduction of the working meeting.
