The delegation of the General Prosecutor's office of the Russian Federation, headed by the Deputy General Prosecutor of the Russian Federation Alexander Zvyagintsev, participated in the 9th meeting of the working group of the Consultative Council of European prosecutors (CCPE) which was held in Rome (Italy). This organization is an Advisory body of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe.
In the course of the meeting it was discussed the draft conclusion of the CCPE about the interrelations of prosecutors with the administration of the penitentiary institutions. Particularly the given conclusion will reflect the main principles of activities of prosecutors in maintaining legislation and civil rights in penitentiary institutions.
The adoption of the conclusion is expected during the 6th plenary meeting of the CCPE which will take place in Strasbourg (France) in November 2011.
