Today, in the General Prosecutor’s office of the Russian Federation it was held a trilateral meeting with the representatives of the Prosecutor's offices of Germany and Spain, devoted to the issues of providing of legal assistance on criminal cases of economic and corruption nature.
From the Prosecutor's office of the Russian Federation the event was participated by the head of the Department on supervision over investigation of especially important cases of the General Prosecutor's office of the Russian Federation Igor Myasnikov and a number of other officers of General Prosecutor's office of Russia.
The delegation of the Federal Republic of Germany was represented by the prosecutors of the Prosecutor's office Mr. Schwerin Stefan Urbanek and Mr. York Ebert and also the chief Commissar of the criminal police of the city Helmut Hertz.
From the Kingdom of Spain the meeting was attended by the prosecutors of the special Prosecutor's office for struggle against corruption and organized criminality Jose Miguel Alonso Kabajo and Juan Jose Rosa Alvarez as well as Deputy Director of international cooperation Department of the Ministry of justice of the Kingdom of Spain Antonio Romero Reinare.
Opening the meeting, Igor Myasnikov thanked foreign colleagues for their consent of the exchange of opinions in the framework of the event.
After that there were speeches of the representatives of the foreign delegations after which the participants of the meeting exchanged opinions on the issues of providing of legal assistance on criminal cases of economic and corruption nature on an example of a specific criminal case.
In conclusion of the meeting the foreign delegations expressed their gratitude to the Russian side for organization of this event and expressed hope for further fruitful cooperation in a wide range of issues.
