Today in the General Prosecutor of the Russian Federation it was held a meeting of the leading employees of the Prosecutor's offices of Russia and the State of Qatar. They held a "round table" meeting on the topic "Struggling against illegal activities of international extremist organizations".
From the Prosecutor's office of the Russian Federation the event was participated by the head of the Department for supervision over the execution of laws on Federal security, inter-ethnic relations and struggling against extremism of the General Prosecutor's office of Russia Vyacheslav Sizov as well as other senior officers of the General Prosecutor of the Russian Federation and the Scientific Research Institute of the Academy of the General Prosecutor's office. The foreign delegation was represented by the Chief Prosecutor of the State Prosecutor’s office of the State of Qatar Khalid Mohamed al Mansouri and a number of other senior officers of the Prosecutor's office of Qatar.
In his opening speech the Chief Prosecutor of the State Prosecutor’s office of the State of Qatar expressed his gratitude to Russian colleagues for the event organizing.
The main report was given by Vyacheslav Sizov. He informed the foreign colleagues about the structure, functions and organization of the work of the bodies and institutions of the Prosecutor's office of the Russian Federation.
In his turn, Khalid Mohamed al Mansouri introduced the participants of the "round table" with the organization of work of the State Prosecutor's office of the State of Qatar on fighting against the religious extremist organizations.
After that the participants of the meeting discussed the issues of international legislative cooperation in the sphere of struggling against terrorism, fighting against the activities of extremist organizations as well as the system of legislative response upon extremist activities. Moreover, in the course of the "round table" there were studied materials of court practice of criminal prosecution of persons engaged in extremist activities as members of international terrorist and extremist organizations.
At the end of the event there was an exchange of opinions on a wide range of issues.
