Today, in the Office of the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation, a Memorandum on Mutual Understanding and Cooperation between the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation and State Prosecutor's Office of the State of Qatar was signed.
Mr. Yury Chaika, the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation, signed this document on behalf of the Russian Federation, and Mr. Ali Bin Fetais Al Marri, the Prosecutor General of Qatar, signed it on behalf of the State of Qatar.
The Memorandum is aimed at strengthening and developing mutual cooperation between the prosecution services of two countries in the sphere of protection of human rights and freedoms, combating crime, as well as cooperation in the issues of professional training and advanced qualification training of the employees of the prosecution bodies of the Russian Federation and the State of Qatar, at sharing experience of practical activities, information on legal systems and legislation, law-making and law enforcement activities in the areas assigned to their competence. The document also envisages direct contacts between the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation and State Prosecution's Office of the State of Qatar within the frameworks of its implementation.
