At the demand of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation, the competent authorities of the Hellenic Republic are extraditing Vladimir Demikhov for him to face criminal charges under Part 1, Article 201 of the Russian Criminal Code (Abuse of Power).
According to the investigation, while serving as the General Director of SvyazStroyServis LLC and being aware of the company's wage arrears to its employees exceeding 26.5 million rubles, the accused transferred over 49.5 million rubles to the bank account of another firm.
Since Demikhov evaded law enforcement authorities, he was placed in pre-trial detention in absentia. At the request of the Russian Prosecutor General's Office, in December 2024 he was declared internationally wanted.
The extradition request was made following his detention in Greece in March 2025. In November, the Ministry of Justice of the Hellenic Republic granted the request of the Russian supervisory authority.
Accompanied by officers of the Russian Federal Penitentiary Service and the National Central Bureau of Interpol of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, Demikhov will be transported to Moscow via Turkey.
