Canadian Financial Structure’s Activities Declared Undesirable in Russia
Text

The Russian Prosecutor General's Office has officially designated the activities of the Canadian Fund for Local Initiatives, a financial mechanism under the Government of Canada, as undesirable on Russian territory.

Established in 1986 and operationally managed by Global Affairs Canada, the fund finances projects in over 120 countries worldwide, advancing Ottawa's interests and priorities, including, in particular, support for the extremist LGBT community.

Under the guise of project work, the structure is actively engaged in propaganda aimed at cultivating a negative image of Russia. The alleged objective is to sever ties between local political elites and our country.
