- The Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation
The Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation has made a decision to recognize the activities of the cryptocurrency exchange WhiteBit, as well as its affiliated and subsidiary organizations W Group, undesirable in the territory of the Russian Federation.
This European cryptocurrency trading platform is used by cryptocurrency exchanges and exchangers to carry out various kinds of transactions, including for organizing "gray" schemes to withdraw funds from Russia, as well as for other unlawful activities.
From the first days of the special military operation, the crypto exchange has been actively supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine, implementing various programs in cooperation with the institutions of the Kyiv regime. In 2022, the leadership of WhiteBit transferred a total of approximately USD 11 million to them. USD 900,000 was allocated for the purchase of drone complexes for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Its leadership participates in international charity auctions, with the proceeds directed towards purchasing drones for Ukrainian militants, including members of the terrorist organization "Azov," which is banned in our country.
WhiteBit cooperates with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. Since May 2022, the exchange has provided technical support to the fundraising platform United24, created on the initiative of the President of Ukraine to collect cryptocurrency donations.
