Today's event was held as part of the implementation of the Cooperation Program between the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation and the Office of the Supreme People's Prosecutor of the Lao People's Democratic Republic. The parties discussed a wide range of issues concerning the structure, tasks, and organization of activities of the supervisory authorities of the two countries. Particular attention was paid to the processes of introducing digital technologies into the work of prosecutors, as well as the prospects for applying artificial intelligence technologies.
Representatives from the structural divisions of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation responsible for the development of digital infrastructure and international cooperation delivered reports from the Russian side.
The foreign delegation presented its own position on adapting the traditional functions of the prosecutor's office to contemporary challenges.
The presentations and the subsequent discussion sparked interest among the foreign audience; the Laotian colleagues highly appreciated the presented Russian experience in automating prosecutorial supervision and using analytical systems.
In conclusion, the participants confirmed their mutual interest in further developing cooperation, primarily to enhance the effectiveness of the work of the prosecutor's offices of Russia and Laos.
