The meeting of the Board was opened by the President of the Russian Federation, Mr. Vladimir Putin. He outlined the main priorities for the activities of the supervisory authority, particularly noting that in the past year, prosecutors at all levels had carried out extensive and effective work. "It is important that all the positive trends achieved by the authority in recent years be maintained and developed," said the Head of State. Among the priority areas, the President identified the protection of labor and social rights, with special emphasis on ensuring the rights of minors and the elderly, as well as other socially vulnerable groups.

"The most serious attention should be paid to the problems faced by participants in the Special Military Operation and their family members who turn to you," emphasized Mr. Vladimir Putin. He also noted the fight against crime, including extremism and terrorism, the fight against corruption, the protection of the rights of entrepreneurs, and the environment as important.

The Head of State thanked the prosecutors for their professionalism and high dedication, as well as for their systematic and targeted work to ensure the rights and legitimate interests of the citizens of our country. He addressed particular words of gratitude to the prosecution employees serving in the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics, the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, as well as in the border regions. Facilitating the achievement of the objectives of the Special Military Operation was also key. Aleksandr Gutsan assured the Head of State that prosecutors would fully support the high status of the chief supervisory authority, would do everything to justify the high trust, protect the rights of citizens, and ensure the interests of society and the state.
