At the request of the Prosecutor General's Office of Russia, the competent authorities of the UAE will extradite a Russian national Khabib Magomadov for the purpose of his criminal prosecution under Article 126, Part 2, subparagraphs "a," "c," and "d" of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (kidnapping).
According to the investigation, on November 10, 2021, Magomadov, together with accomplices, committed the kidnapping of a victim near a gym in Tver in order to obtain from him a confession to previously committed unlawful acts. Upon achieving the intended goal, the man was released.
Also, on the initiative of the Prosecutor General's Office of Russia, the competent authorities of the UAE organized the extradition of a Russian national Nadezhda Chabanova for her criminal prosecution under Article 159, Part 4 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fraud).
The investigation established that Chabanova, from 2003 to 2009, acting as the Director General of a commercial organization, together with other persons, including her husband, raised funds from citizens for the construction of five residential multi-apartment buildings in Rostov-on-Don. At the same time, the spouses knew in advance that the companies they headed lacked the necessary permits, without which real estate construction is impossible. The total amount of damage caused to 235 participants in shared-equity construction amounted to 322 million rubles.
Each of the accused evaded law enforcement authorities; on the instruction of the Prosecutor General's Office of Russia, the fugitives were placed on the international wanted list.
Requests for extradition were sent in connection with their detention in the United Arab Emirates.
Thanks to the close cooperation of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation with foreign colleagues, it was possible to achieve positive decisions on the transfer of the accused.

At Russia's initiative, the United Arab Emirates has handed over two defendants who were on the international wanted list, following close cooperation between the Prosecutor General's Office of Russia and its UAE counterparts
