Working Meeting Held Between Representatives of Supervisory Agencies of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus on Protecting the Rights of Air Passengers

Representatives of the transport and customs oversight units of the Prosecutor Generals‘ Offices of the two countries met in Nizhny Novgorod.

Russian and Belarusian colleagues shared experience and practical developments regarding oversight of compliance with legislation in the field of protecting the rights of air passengers.

Specific issues of the state of law and order were discussed, including ensuring the safe operation of aircraft, organizing passenger transportation and services, and the quality of services provided.

Using Nizhny Novgorod Airport as an example, specialists had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the procedures for interaction between airport and other services when aircraft is diverted to an alternate airfield.

A representative of Kazan Airport told participants about the specifics of ground service operations aimed at respecting passenger rights under conditions of restricted airspace use.

Following the meeting, both sides expressed their readiness for further cooperation between the supervisory agencies of the two states.
