Protecting the rights of bona fide business to ensure free entrepreneurial and investment activity is an area of special focus for Prosecutor General of Russia Aleksandr Gutsan.
On the instruction of Aleksandr Gutsan, prosecutors are working to improve legal regulation of entrepreneurial activity, eliminate administrative barriers, develop government support mechanisms, and protect the rights and legitimate interests of economic entities. In just the past year, over 227,000 violations in this area were suppressed, and the rights of 33,000 representatives of the business community were restored.
An important factor for improving the legal environment in this area is the existence of well-established communication channels between business and the state. This allows for targeted responses to signals received from entrepreneurs and swift suppression of any instances of undue pressure.
To address these tasks, prosecutors actively use the full range of available tools for open and comprehensive dialogue. One of the most effective among them traditionally is the participation of representatives of the supervisory agency in international economic forums.
At the stand of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Russia, which has already begun its work on the sidelines of SPIEF-2026, Russian entrepreneurs and foreign investors can directly address prosecutors, ask questions regarding law enforcement practices, and report problems requiring intervention to guarantee protection of their legitimate interests.
The main event of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Russia’s participation in the forum will be a speech by Aleksandr Gutsan on June 5 at a session organized on his instruction, titled “Improving Support Tools for Bona fide Business and Investment in New Economic Realities.” An exchange of views with foreign colleagues invited by the head of the Russian supervisory agency, as well as representatives of government authorities and the business community will also take place.
The working program of the Prosecutor General of Russia on the sidelines of SPIEF-2026 also includes meetings with the leadership of relevant agencies from Abkhazia, Vietnam, Egypt, and Uganda. During the talks, the parties plan to sign documents aimed at further strengthening cooperation on matters of mutual interest.
Aleksandr Gutsan will also attend the plenary session with the participation of the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin.
