On the instructions of the Russian Prosecutor General Aleksandr Gutsan, a delegation of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation, headed by Deputy Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Petr Gorodov, took part in the Forum on Global Public Security Cooperation in Lianyungang, People's Republic of China. The event brought together about 1,400 representatives of law enforcement agencies from around the world.

Petr Gorodov spoke in the high-level segment of the plenary session. His report was devoted to the Russian experience in suppressing the spread of illegal information on the Internet and the development of international cooperation in this area.

The Deputy Prosecutor General of Russia spoke about the role of prosecutors in countering the use of digital space for terrorist and extremist purposes and protecting citizens from dangerous content. He presented judicial and extrajudicial mechanisms for restricting access to prohibited materials, noting their importance for crime prevention.

"Even the most effective national system is unable to protect the cross-border digital space alone," emphasized Petr Gorodov. A proposal was put forward to develop direct round-the-clock contacts among competent authorities, prompt exchange of information about dangerous materials, and joint efforts to counter their spread. Among the promising areas were the exchange of monitoring technologies, training of specialists, and the development of coordinated response algorithms. Russia's readiness to share practical experience on the basis of respect for sovereignty, national legislation, and mutual trust was confirmed.

Within the framework of the forum, Petr Gorodov held bilateral meetings with the Minister of Public Security of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Luong Tam Quang, the First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Yuri Nazarenko, the Inspector General of the Ministry of Interior of the United Arab Emirates, Ahmed Nasser Al-Raisi, and the Secretary General of INTERPOL, Valdecy Urquiza.

The issues discussed included legal assistance in criminal cases, extradition and international search, combating cybercrime, and the search for and return of criminal assets. Special attention was paid to the development of direct professional contacts and prompt exchange of information.
