Bilateral consultations were held in Moscow between the representatives of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Justice, the Supreme Prosecutor’s Office and the Police of the Czech Republic with the participation of invitees from the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation.
The parties discussed a wide range of issues on general approaches and specific materials in the field of extradition, international legal assistance in criminal matters and administrative offenses, law enforcement assistance, including in the framework of international anti-corruption cooperation outside the scope of criminal law, obtaining electronic evidence, asset recovery, implementation of new forms of procedural assistance and operational-search measures based on the Second Additional Protocol to the European Convention on Mutual Assistance in Criminal Matters of 08.11.2001, transfer of sentenced persons, recognition and enforcement of judgments.
During the consultations, the ways were identified to resolve some legal problems caused by the differences in the individual stages of criminal proceedings and the procedural statuses of its participants in the national laws of the parties, specific agreements were reached on the procedure for further interaction and measures for its development.
