Today, June 21st, 2016, Russia’s PGO hosted a roundtable meeting on “Key Challenges in the Recovery of the Proceeds of Corruption and National Anti-Corruption Focal Points Designation”, as envisaged by the Cooperation Program for 2015-2016 signed between Russia’s PGO and Greek Supreme Court’s Public Prosecution Service.
The event was chaired by the First Deputy Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation, Aleksandr Buksman.
The Russian delegation comprised PGO’s Anti-Corruption Law Compliance Unit and General Department of International Legal Cooperation officers.
The Greek side was represented by Supreme Court Deputy Public Prosecutor Nikolaos Pantelis.
Participants exchanged their opinion on the recovery of the proceeds of corruption and national anti-corruption focal points designation, and made reference to international cooperation in the field. Other legal assistance issues pertaining to search, seizure, confiscation and recovery of the proceeds of crime were also mentioned.
At the end of the meeting, both sides agreed to keep furthering close cooperation enjoyed within the Cooperation Program.
