In the course of the official visit of the Prime minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia Mr. Hun Sen to the Russian Federation deputy Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Mr. Alexander Gutsan and the Minister of Justice of the Kingdom of Cambodia Mr. Ang Vong Vathana signed the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation between the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Justice of the Kingdom of Cambodia.
Signing of the document occurred in the presence of the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Mr. Dmitry Medvedev and the Prime minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia Mr. Hun Sen.
The Memorandum defines major courses for interaction of Parties on actual trends of their activities including ensuring legality, protection of rights and freedoms of person, crime combating, training and professional development of staff, science and research activities as well as forms of such cooperation.
Furthermore in accordance with the Memorandum the Parties within their powers will execute cooperation in the sphere of mutual legal cooperation in criminal matters and extradition including holding consultations on stages of preparation and consideration of specific requests.
