Having reviewed the received materials the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation made a decision to recognize as undesirable the activity of the foreign non-governmental organization U.S. Russia Foundation for Economic Advancement and the Rule of Law in the Russian Federation.
The President of the Foundation who is a US citizen was denied entry into the country until 2025 due to the activities directed against the interests of the Russian Federation.
Among other issues, the foundation provided financial assistance to Russian NGOs, acting as "foreign agents" and participating in political processes in the Russian Federation.
It was established that the activity of this organization poses a threat to the foundation of the constitutional order of the Russian Federation and the security of the state.
The information of the decision made was forwarded to the Russian Ministry of Justice for the above mentioned foundation to be included in the list of foreign and international non-governmental organizations whose activity is considered undesirable in the Russian Federation.
