The Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation hosted the fourth meeting of the working group of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Justice of the State of Israel on cooperation in criminal matters.
During the meeting the parties discussed specific features of legislation and law enforcement practice of Russia and Israel with regard to selection of preventive measures in respect of the persons placed on Interpol’s international wanted list, and the issues of identification, seizure (confiscation) and recovery of the proceeds of crime in the legal systems of Russia and Israel.
Information was also shared on the progress, results and particulars of fulfilment of both Russian and Israeli extradition requests, and legal assistance in specific criminal cases.
Following this meeting, it was agreed to continue the cooperation and to hold the next meeting of the working group in Israel in 2016.
