Today in the General Prosecutor’s office of the Russian Federation it was held a meeting of the Deputy Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Alexander Zvyagintsev and the Prosecutor General of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Nguyễn Hòa Bình.
Welcoming the guest, Alexander Zvyagintsev noted that the general tasks for protection of the rights and freedoms of citizens, reasons of state and the struggling against criminality dictate the necessity for close and fruitful cooperation. He briefed the guests with the activities of the bodies of the Prosecutor's office of the Russian Federation.
In his turn the Prosecutor General of Vietnam expressed his gratitude for the invitation of visiting Russia and for the opportunity of exchanging of information on a wide range of issues.
The participants of the dialogue expressed the hope that today's meeting would allow promoting closer cooperation between the Prosecutor's offices of the two countries and would serve as another step on the way towards increasing the efficiency of cooperation.
The interaction of the General Prosecutor’s offices of Russia and Vietnam is carried out on the basis of the Agreement on cooperation signed on October 31st, 2007 in Hanoi (Vietnam). In 2008 the prosecution employees of Viet Nam got the training at the Academy of the General Prosecutor's office of the Russian Federation.
For the past five years, the General Prosecutor's office of Russia hosted two times the representatives from the Supreme people's court of Vietnam, there were held meetings with the heads of the Legal Commission of the National Assembly, the Commission on legal reform under the Central Committee of the Communist party of Viet Nam, the Committee on fight against corruption under the Government.
In the course of the meeting the parties achieved concordance on signing of a new Agreement on cooperation with consideration of realities of the present day which will be developed and signed in the nearest future.
After the meeting the delegation visited the Academy of the General Prosecutor's office of the Russian Federation with the purpose of introducing with the activity of the scientific - educational establishments of the system of the Prosecutor's office of Russia.
