Persons accused of property crimes and illegal drug trafficking were extradited from Russia to Uzbekistan

The Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation extradited four persons to the competent authorities of the Republic of Uzbekistan for criminal prosecution.

Akhmadali Muydinov is accused of the fact that he, being a dangerous recidivist, in October-November 2017, in the Andijan Region of the Republic of Uzbekistan, by previous concert with another person, forged a power of attorney to sell the apartment owned by the victim. After that, he presented the mentioned document to a notarial office, concluded a sale and purchase agreement, and misappropriated the victim’s money in the amount of 15 900 US dollars.

Azamat Shodiev is accused of misappropriation of the victims’ property by fraud and breach of trust in the territory of the Tashkent Region of the Republic of Uzbekistan in June-July 2018.

Nortojy Yuldashov is accused of misappropriation of the victim’s money in the total amount of 1 200 000 soms, by previous concert with another person, under the pretence of assisting in preparation of documents for employment, in the territory of the city of Navoi of the Republic of Uzbekistan in September 2018.

He, continuing his criminal activity, by fraud and breach of trust, also stole money in the amount from 1 670 000 to 2 300 000 soms from 30 persons.

The Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation, on 10.04.2020, also granted the request of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan for extradition of Evgueniy Monin for bringing him to criminal liability for his complicity in drug smuggling.

From September 2008 to April 2009, Monin, having entered into a criminal conspiracy with other persons, facilitated and organized smuggling and sale of narcotic drugs (heroin) on an especially large scale (4 200 grams) in the Russian Federation.

The mentioned persons, at a different time, were detained in the territory of the Russian Federation. The Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan prepared proper requests for their extradition.

The decisions of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation on extradition have entered into legal force, and the Federal Penitentiary Service was instructed to carry out their handover, subject to necessary security measures.

They were delivered to the Republic of Uzbekistan under special escort.
