At the request of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation the competent authorities of the Kingdom of Belgium extradited to Russia a person accused of preparation of a contract murder

The competent authorities of Belgium have granted the request of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation for the extradition of Rasul Bachalov, with the view of his criminal prosecution, for the preparation and incitement to commit murder for hire in February-March 2013, in the territory of Grozny.

Since he fled from the law enforcement agencies, a preventive measure in the form of detention was ordered to be applied to him, he was put on the international wanted list.

He was detained in the territory of the Kingdom of Belgium.

The Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation prepared a request for his extradition.

Owing to the efficient interaction between the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation and the competent authorities of the Kingdom of Belgium, a positive decision on his extradition was reached.

Today, Bachalov will be taken to Russia, accompanied by a special convoy.
