Thanks to the interaction between the Prosecutor General’s Offices of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tajikistan, citizens being charged with the commission of a number of crimes have been extradited

The Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation continues to actively cooperate with law enforcement authorities of other countries in the fight against crime.

Thus, the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation has extradited 4 citizens to the competent authorities of the Republic of Tajikistan for criminal prosecution.

Nurollo Gafurov and Sukhrop Muazamov are being charged with a fact that they entered into and participated actively in the Muslim Brotherhood criminal association which was recognized as a terrorist and extremist organization by virtue of a decision of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Tajikistan. At the same time they hold undercover meetings together with their accomplices, collected and paid membership fees.

Khotam Loikov is being charged with a fact that under the guise of supply of mineral fertilizers from the Republic of Uzbekistan he stole the victim’s pecuniary means in the total amount of 130 000 US dollars in the city of Dushanbe within the period from January 2018 to January 2019 that inflicted an especially large scale damage.

Istatoia Gulova is being charged with a fact that she stole the victim’s pecuniary means in the total amount of 20 000 US dollars in the city of Dushanbe within the period from August 10 to August 20, 2014.

When the said individuals were located in the territory of the Russian Federation, the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Tajikistan sent requests pertaining to the extradition thereof to the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation which were granted.
