Russia extradited to Tajikistan national accused of fraud

The Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation complied with the request of the competent authorities of the Republic of Tajikistan on extradition of Golibshokh Davlatov for criminal prosecution.

He is accused of the crime, envisaged by Article 247 part 4 paragraph “b” of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Tajikistan (fraud).

The preliminary investigation established that in March 2016 in Dushanbe he, together with accomplices, under the guise of allocation of a land spot for residential house construction, stole monetary funds from a victim in the total amount of US$ 35.000.

In July 2016, he, in preliminary concert with other persons, using computer equipment, manufactured falsified ruling of the judicial board on civil cases of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Tajikistan of 06.06.2016 and the decision of the court of the Rudaki District of the Republic of Tajikistan, where he put signatures of judges and a stamp of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Tajikistan “the copy is true”.

After perpetration of the crime he escaped from the law enforcement authorities and was declared wanted.

Since he was established in the territory of the Russian Federation, the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Tajikistan prepared a request for his extradition.

The decision of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation on his extradition entered into its legal force. The Federal Penitentiary Service was instructed to hand him over.

Golibshokh Davlatov has been brought to Tajikistan by the special convoy officers.
