Representatives of the Prosecutor Generals’ Offices of Russia and Azerbaijan held a round table on issues of organization of the work on ensuring participation of prosecutors in judicial consideration of civil and arbitration cases, as well as cases of administrative offenses

A Russian-Azerbaijani round table on “Issues of organization of the work on ensuring participation of prosecutors in judicial consideration of civil and arbitration cases, as well as cases of administrative offenses” took place in Moscow.

The event was conducted within the framework of implementation of the Program of cooperation between the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation and the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2021 – 2023.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the General Department of Civil Court Proceedings, General Department of International Legal Cooperation of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation, as well as the Department for Non-Criminal Proceedings of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The meeting participants discussed the priority areas of work of the prosecution authorities of the Russian Federation on legal defense of the rights of citizens, as well as the property interests of the state in arbitral proceedings. Attention was also paid to issues of participation of prosecutors in judicial proceedings of socially important categories and exercise of powers in consideration of cases of administrative offenses by courts.

The Azerbaijani colleagues shared the experience of work of the national prosecution authorities on non-criminal prosecution in the spheres of environmental safety and protection of interests of minors.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue sharing the experiences on the defined issues, as well as to continue the development of the interaction, including within the framework of the current Program of cooperation.
