Russia extradited to Uzbekistan nationals accused of murder, assault and fraud

The Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation granted the request of the competent authorities of the Republic of Uzbekistan for extradition of Khasan Khazratkulov, Zarshed Rakhmonov and Oybek Kamolov for bringing them to penal liability.

Khazratkulov is accused of the fact that, in May 2001, in the Republic of Uzbekistan, he illegally entered a dwelling house and assaulted a sleeping woman. After that he killed her and stole her possessions.

Rakhmonov has been adjudged guilty of the fact that, in March 2016, he entered a victim’s house where he tried to steal possessions.

Kamolov has been adjudged guilty of the fact that he, being previously convicted, forged hakim’s rulings on land plots. Doing so, he misappropriated the victims’ money.

He, being a dangerous recidivist, also stole by fraud the victims’ money on a large scale.

The said nationals were detained in the territory of the Russian Federation at different times. The Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan prepared proper requests for their extradition.

The decisions of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation on extradition have entered into legal force. The Federal Penitentiary Service was instructed to carry out their handover, subject to necessary security measures.

Accompanied by a special escort, they will be delivered to the Republic of Uzbekistan.
